Evangelising Entrepreneurship

Acknowledging the SSCBS’s thriving entrepreneurial culture, SIIF and Yuva assist the college students in bringing their ideas to fruition by the means of sustained encouragement and mentorship, thus cultivating a culture of creativity and innovation.

By conducting webinars, online sessions and open houses with entrepreneurs and business experts at regular intervals, SIIF and Yuva engage with the student community to facilitate the translation of ideas into real-time practice.

SIIF and Yuva initiated Yuva Talks with the aim to provide an avenue for the youth to connect and learn from industry professionals and business founders and get valuable insights through engaging sessions.

By promoting the startups, founded by CBS students, on social media platforms, through the Changemaker Series, SIIF promotes the entrepreneurial spirit in the college and inspires the youth to take an initiative and start their venture. Through this initiative, we aim to build a prolonged relationship with the expanding pool of young entrepreneurs, add them to our network and assist them in the process.

To aid aspiring startup founders in honing practical knowledge and skills, SIIF organized a 4-day entrepreneurship workshop covering a plethora of topics such as the purpose of entrepreneurship, ideation, components of the Business Model Canvass, Networking, Pitch presentation, and a lot more.

SIIF and Yuva enabled the youth to get an essence of the startup ecosystem and engage in ideation through a plethora of events. Competitions like the Investors Day Pitch 2019, helped many budding entrepreneurs to pitch their venture ideas, seek investment support and realize the true potential of their startup.
E-Summit 2020, a case study competition, encouraged students to put their knowledge to the test and come up with solutions to real-world problems.
Springboard 2021, a global startup ideation challenge, held by SIIF and Yuva in collaboration with the E-Cell of the NUS, provided college students with the golden opportunity to ideate, innovate, and network with students across borders at the same event.

SIIF, over the years, has upheld its vision to promote a startup culture in the college and support students to unlock their true potential.
